All the effort you are making will ultimately pay off
Wisdom from a fortune cookie
I recently found a fortune cookie book mark I had in one of my many books and it reminded me about how your fitness goals are a journey and not a destination. We learn from every move we make in order to better ourselves. Eat too much meat and you may feel like you ate a bowling ball. Eat too many veggies and no fat and you'll probably be very hungry shortly after. We learn from ourselves if you are quiet enough to pay attention to these subtle cues. Feeling tired in the afternoon? Instead of pounding down that large coffee, try taking a 5-10 minute nap to recharge your batteries. Bypassing these cues will always make things worse. You'll need stronger coffee each time you neglect your body's many cries for rest until all the coffee in the world will not do the trick (Adrenal failure). So, slow down a little to start paying attention to how you feel and do what your body wants, not what society tells you to do like keeping up with the Jones'. Just remember, you can't be buried with that huge mortgage or that shiny new car that you are killing yourself over.
